My inspiration comes from the seasons and my love of Britain's native flora. Through expressive mark making I set out to capture the essence of the subject, whilst also aiming to create compositions of quiet beauty that invite the viewer to pause a while, and to soak in the beauty found in our gardens and nearby countryside. I work primarily in graphite, colour pencil, and watercolour.
